Expertise and Experience
Our work draws on years spent inside large development and humanitarian programs, not just alongside them. We have designed surveillance systems for national malaria programs, run multi-country impact research across dozens of countries, and built the measurement infrastructure that health and different development programs report against. That background shows up in the small decisions: how to word an indicator so it survives translation, when a quasi-experimental design is defensible and when it is not, what a donor reviewer will question first.
High Quality Data
Everything downstream depends on this. We program validation into instruments before piloting, recruit and train enumerators ourselves, supervise fieldwork in person, and run checks while collection is still in progress rather than after the teams have gone home. We never trust a single number: every finding we deliver is triangulated across data, voice, and observation before it reaches your desk. And we document as we go, so the sampling frame, the definitions, and the decisions behind the dataset are all there for whoever picks it up next, including a skeptical reviewer.
Participatory Methodology
Evidence that arrives from outside gets filed. Evidence that your team helped produce gets used. We work with your program staff, field teams, local partners, and where possible the people your program serves, from framing the questions through to interpreting the results. We facilitate the workshops, ask the awkward questions, and bring the technical craft, but the knowledge in the room is yours and the conclusions should feel like yours too. It takes more scheduling and more patience than working alone. It is also the difference between a study that changes a program and one that sits on a shelf.
